Launched in November 2007, Endomondo Sports Tracker turns the mobile phone into a full-fledged personal trainer. The app can be used for running, cycling, walking and all other distance-based outdoor sports. Using GPS, the app tracks route, distance, duration, split times, calorie consumption, and more, while providing audio feedback on performance. The app offers a full history with previous workouts and statistics, as well as a route map for each workout. On certain handsets, the app also supports integration with the built-in music player and Bluetooth heart rate monitors from Polar and Zephyr. Endomondo Sports Tracker also incorporates community and social features that allows users to challenge friends and share results. For more information, please visit and follow @Endomondo on Twitter.

We can also see the continued rise of apps from the perspective of those that are linked to sports & smartphone hardware (Garmin, Fitbit, Amazfit, Huawei, Polar), apps that are linked to apparel (Nike/Apple, adidas Runtastic, UA Endomondo, Asics Runkeeper) and the independents (Strava, Komoot). And we can also see that Polar is growing albeit modestly yet as if we need further confirmation, these stats also show the inexorable rise of Garmin in the sports realm.
The beauty of Endomondo is that you could track a bunch of sports within the same app. I was a subscriber of Endomondo. If you find a nice app that could track at least the 3 triathlon disciplines, let us know.

The line I skiedHowever, Endomondo is more for endurance activities and does not contain a number of the metrics I want to see while skiing. Namely, maximum speeds and pitch extremes. However, most of the users are using Endomondo for running, hiking, walking, biking, etc. None of those sports (maybe hiking excepted) have all of the metrics interesting to downhill skiers. Endomondo reported times in one mile intervals which is great for cross-country skiing but makes little sense while downhill skiing.
Endomondo is a social network for athletes with a community of more than 32 million sports enthusiasts. Via Endomondo you can connect with your friends, follow their activity on social media and share your own, and participate in challenges to win honour and special prices. 2ff7e9595c
